This session will
discuss how it is important for healthcare
professionals to be aware of the effects of trauma in medical settings and
applications of trauma-informed care to reduce risk of re-traumatization and
enhance aspects of healthcare.

At
the conclusion of this learning activity, (at least 75% of) participants will
be able to discuss the importance of incorporating a trauma informed approach
during patient - health care professional interactions in health care settings.
