Rural Health Equity Policy Forum

September 4, 2024 Sponsors: Dartmouth Health Center for Rural Health Equity (CARHE) & Office of Government Relations Description: In this program, you will hear from two candidates running for the NH Congressional District 2 seat, Maggie Goodlander and Colin Van Ostern. This Forum provides an opportunity to learn about rural health disparities and to hear the candidates share their political strategies to address these challenges in our state. Areas of focus included: - Right care, right place for older adults - long-term care nursing staffing ratios - Supplemental Nutrition Assistance program (SNAP) - Support for families: child tax credit - Dental care access & Medicaid coverage, especially for community members dealing with substance use disorders
