This video shows an animation of both the placement of an Orbera balloon and the removal of the Orbera Balloon. Both of these procedures are done during a non-surgical procedure called an endoscopy, where we take a flexible tube with a light and camera at the end to first evaluate the stomach and esophagus for any issues and then place the balloon in the stomach and watch it inflate to make sure there are no leaks. We then repeat the endoscopy 6 months later to deflate the balloon (remove all the fluid) and then remove the balloon through the mouth.
