Trauma-informed care (TIC) approaches can enhance patient-centeredness and reduce negative experiences. This session will discuss how it is important for healthcare professionals to be aware of the effects of trauma has on our patients and how implementing a trauma-informed care approach to pelvic exams can improve patient outcomes. 

Learning Outcome:

At the conclusion of this learning activity, (at least 75% of) participants will be able to discuss the importance of implementing a trauma informed approach to pelvic care and strategies for doing so.
