This video shows an animation of the endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG) procedure using the Apollo Overstitch Device. This is a suturing device that fits on the end of an endoscope (a flexible tube with a camera and light at the end of it used to perform procedures in the upper GI tract). The animation shows the Overstitch Device on the endoscope being used to place sutures in the stomach to reduce the width and length of the stomach. This is a non-surgical procedure done in the endoscopy lab and helps patients feel full earlier in a meal and feel full longer after the meal.
