On February 17, 2025 from 12:15 pm to 1 pm, we welcomed Frances Lim-Liberty, MD, FAAP and Jessica Smith, MSN, APRN, FNP-C and Jessica Smith, MSN, APRN, FNP-C to discuss Supporting Your Trans and Gender Diverse Patients; Lessons for PCPs.
Frances Lim-Liberty, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist, having received her medical degree from Rush Medical College, completing residency and chief residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and fellowship at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. She now practices pediatric endocrinology in New Hampshire and is the medical director of the Pediatric and Adolescent Transgender Program at Dartmouth Health Children’s. She is working with an incredible Transgender health team in providing gender-affirming care to gender-diverse youth in NH, VT, ME, NY, and MA. She is passionate about providing equitable care to all individuals.
Jessica Smith, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Program Coordinator for the Pediatric and Adolescent Transgender Program with the Department of Pediatric Endocrinology at Dartmouth Health Children’s. Jessica’s clinical experiences and interests include sexual and reproductive health, with particular interest in care of LGBTQ+ adolescents and young adults. She provides care to gender diverse children, teens and young adults from across New Hampshire, Vermont and northern Massachusetts. Jessica is active in advocating for the rights of LGBTQ+ youth within the Dartmouth System, at the state-level and across the country. Along with other members of the Pediatric and Adolescent Trans Health team, she remains dedicated to helping shape policies and train health care professionals about best practices in caring for gender diverse and trans youth.
