The Value of WOC Nursing: With Use of the Donabedian Model

WOC nurses specialized in wound, ostomy, and/or continence care. This session will review up to date recommendations for pressure ulcers as guided by our inpatient wound care nurse, a journey through a day in the life of an ostomy nurse, and a discussion on caring for the wound care patient holistically as guided by our outpatient wound care providers. Nurses will gain understanding on the complexity of wound and ostomy care, current recommendations, collaborative care required as well as our approach to meeting the patient where they are and working as partners to promote healing and quality of life.
