APP Colleagues,
On Monday December 2, 2024 we welcomed Dr. Elizabeth Honigsberg with a talk on Obesity Medicine.
Dr. Elizabeth Honigsberg is a Staff Physician at the Dartmouth Health Weight Center and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine. She is a Board-Certified surgeon with specialty training in bariatric surgery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She will be completing her Master’s in Public Health at Tufts School of Medicine this year.
Dr. Honigsberg prioritizes compassionate, patient-centered, and comprehensive obesity care. Additionally, she strives to fight weight bias throughout the healthcare system. Her current academic interests include the real-world impact of GLP 1 RA therapy on peri-procedural protocols, the relationship between GLP 1 RA therapy and muscle mass changes, and defining the “food noise” phenomenon. Ultimately, she hopes to expand obesity education to all levels of medical training.
