On Monday, November 18, 2024, we welcomed Nadee M. Siriwardana, PMHNP-BC and Elizabeth C. Morency, PMHNP, APRN to present on Treating Substance Use Disorder and Alcohol Use Disorder in Primary Care
Nadee received her Baccalaureate degree at Bowdoin College in 2009 and then her MSN for her PMHNP at Boston College’s Connell School of Nursing in 2015. She began her career as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Dartmouth Hitchcock in 2015. Her areas of expertise have become working on the consult service in Psychiatry, working on the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT), the outpatient clinics within psychiatry and also embedded psychiatry in primary care and pulmonology, specifically working with those with cystic fibrosis. Nadee also provides inpatient psychiatric care (both voluntary and involuntary), substance use and more recently in crisis and emergency psychiatry.
Liz Morency received her Baccalaureate degree in 2008 from Colby Sawyer College, and then her ADN at River Valley Community College in 2013 and then her MSN for her PMHNP at Wilkes University in 2019. She has been at DH since December of 2020, working on the Behavioral Intervention Team as well in the embedded psycho-oncology clinic in DH’s Cancer Center.
