On August 7th, we welcomed Alysa Zamora and Emily Cooper to Topics in Medicine and Surgery to present on Nutrition for the Malnourished or Critically Ill Patient.
Alysa Zamora graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Nutrition and from the University of New Hampshire with a Master’s of Science in Human Nutrition. She previously worked as a dietetic technician and completed her dietetic internship at DHMC before starting as a Registered Dietitian in 2021. Outside of her role at DHMC, Alysa enjoys mountain biking and hiking with her husband.
Emily S. Cooper RD, CNSC, LD attended Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD then transferred to Montana State University in Bozeman, MT obtaining an BS in Health and Human Development – Food and Nutrition. She then attended the University of New Hampshire Dietetic Internship in Durham, NH.
Emily has worked as a clinical dietitian at Parkland Medical Center in Dover, NH, The Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH, and as a community Nutrition Coordinator/Dietitian for Hannaford Brothers in various districts throughout NH. She has been with Dartmouth Health since 2010 and has worked in a variety of inpatient, outpatient and community settings, but she finds the most joy working in Critical Care nutrition.
