This session will provide an overview of the spectrum of factors to consider in planning patient-centered peripartum pain management as well as strategies for creating standardized guidelines for pain management for patients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). Our AIM implementation team and the NHPQC will briefly share administrative updates and relevant data from New Hampshire's implementation of the SUD-focused AIM Patient Safety Bundle. We will then hear from Johanna Cobb, MD, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Johanna will present considerations for standardizing both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic pain management across the intrapartum, postpartum, and discharge phases of care. We will end the hour with a Q&A session.
