A strong community response is essential in order to best support survivors of sexual assault. We must rely on the expertise of many to ensure that victims receive services that will help them heal from the trauma. This session will feature the role of the sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) as well as the role of law enforcement. Each role is designed to improve the outcomes of the survivor.
Learning Outcome:
At the conclusion of the activity, (at least 75% of) participants will be able to describe the different roles and responses of our interprofessional partners in their work with and support of survivors of sexual violence.
